"They were the 4077 MASH (Mobile Army Surgical Hospital) unit stationed three miles from the front during the Korean War. Now, as reports that the war is almost over reach the 4077 with increasing frequency, the doctors and nurses begin to tentatively make plans about what they're going to do once they get back home. But until the guns fall silent, everyone must focus on taking care of the incoming wounded whose numbers increase as the fighting intensifies during the last weeks of the war.
